Frederick Douglass Park Dedication Scheduled

A Frederick Douglass Park dedication will take place on Sunday, August 3 at 4:30 p.m.  The dedication will be in conjunction with the Family Day festivities scheduled for that day.  Please join the Winchester Parks & Recreation Department and the City for this special occassion.

Green Indoor Pool - In A Good Way!

The Winchester Parks & Recreation Department will re-open its indoor pool in September.  Over the summer the Department has replaced the pool dehumidifier and installed new HVAC equipment in the locker rooms and hallway.

This investment will provide users with better air quality as patrons swim and participate in aquatic activities.  The design engineer, Presti & Associates designed the system so that the moisture and condensation collected during the cycles would be pumped and placed back into the pool.  With the old system, reclaimed water and condensation was not reused and was wasted.  The Department anticipates that the new system will be more efficient, reduce water waste, and benefit users with cleaner air and reduced humidity.

Street Paving Schedule

The City of Winchester is announcing, in conjunction with Stuart M. Perry Paving Company, that the City will be paving the following streets this week:

The City of Winchester wants to thank all the citizens and motorists who utilize these streets for their patience and cooperation during this project.
