Can old furniture, appliances, tires, or building materials be stored on private property?

These types of items may be stored on private property if they are inside an enclosed building.

Large junk items now stored outdoors should be removed from the premises and taken to the property disposal facility.

Will City of Winchester inspect for rats on private property?

YES. An Inspector will inspect a property for rat harborage. All properties and buildings must be kept rodent proof at all times.

Does City of Winchester regulate where you can operate a business?

YES. The Zoning Ordinance defines what types and where business activities may be conducted.

Can a commercial vehicle be parked on residential property?

YES. The commercial vehicle must not be parked in the front or side yard.

Does City of Winchester allow vehicle repairs on private property?

YES. Routine repairs can be made on a vehicle registered to the occupant where the work is performed. Commercial repair is not allowed.

Does City of Winchester allow junk cars to be stored outside?
