Reminders

• Follow the driver's instructions at all times.
• Always stand at designated bus stops located along each route.
• Please pull the yellow cord on the wall under the window in advance of your stop to let your driver know that you want to get off at the next stop.
• For your own safety, do not cross the street in front of the bus or step out suddenly in front of the bus.
• NO standing in front of the white line or in the stairwells.
• Only board and exit the bus through the appropriate door.
• If the bus has standing room only, please stand as far to the rear of the bus as possible to allow for boarding passengers.  Remember, to always maintain a secure grip on the standee bar, as the bus may come to an unexpected or sudden stop.
• NO animals except service animals will be permitted on any bus.
• Allow a few minutes for delays in scheduled arrival and departure times.
• Drivers reserve the right to refuse service to anyone not observing regulations, or to those whose behavior is hazardous to passengers or vehicular safety.

Passenger Courtesies for Winchester Transit Buses

• When using cell phones, please be considerate – speak quietly when conversing with other passengers or when using a cell phone
• Smoking and profanity is prohibited
• No eating, drinking or food in open containers
• Headphones are encouraged for portable music and gaming devices
• Passengers must keep their heads, arms, and legs inside the vehicle at all times.
• Passengers must refrain from displaying rude or abusive behavior. Shirts and shoes are required at all times.
• Carry-on items (groceries, laundry, packages, etc.) are limited to what passengers can bring on and take off the bus by themselves.
• Lost and found personal items left on a bus will be placed in a lost and found bin at the Winchester Transit facility located at 301 East Cork Street.
